From writing games for a BBC Micro to designing complex data quality products
Growing up during the birth of the home computer, I spent countless hours on my Dad’s BBC Micro in the 1980s, typing out code from magazines to create small games in BASIC. This early passion led me to study Computer Science at school and later at Aberystwyth and Portsmouth universities, where I earned an MSc in Internet System Development.
In 2005, I moved to London to start my career in digital experiences. I spent five years in the fast-paced advertising industry, working on websites and digital experiences for brands like Panasonic, Domestos, Appletizer, and Walls. I then transitioned to MyVoucherCodes as a Front End Lead, optimizing and growing the site to over half a million views a day. After a six-year stint at FinTech company ieDigital (now Fintilect), where I created B2B2C open banking solutions, I shifted to UX design, eventually becoming a UX Team Lead.
Since 2019, I’ve been at Experian, starting as a Senior UX Designer and quickly advancing to Product Design Lead. Here, I’ve worked on complex B2B/SaaS products like Aperture Data Studio and broader CX initiatives.
It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m eager to see where it takes me next.
